RECIPE TYPE: Snack

DIETARY INFO: Vegan

SERVING SIZE: 1

PREP TIME: 4 Minutes

COOK TIME: 1 Hour

TOTAL TIME: 1 Hour Minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • Edible flowers (such as roses, lavender, violets, or pansies)

  • Water

  • Sugar

  • Popsicle molds

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Begin by making a simple syrup. Combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  2. Remove the syrup from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.

  3. Meanwhile, prepare your edible flowers. Rinse them gently under cool water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Remove any stems or greenery.

  4. Add your flowers to the popsicle molds. You can place them in a pattern or scatter them randomly.

  5. Pour the cooled simple syrup over the flowers until the molds are filled.

  6. Insert popsicle sticks into the molds and freeze until solid, about 6-8 hours.

  7. Once the popsicles are frozen, remove them from the molds by running them under hot water for a few seconds.

     Storage:
Properly stored floral popsicles can last up to 2-3 months in the freezer. To ensure the best quality and taste, it's important to store them in an airtight container or plastic wrap to prevent freezer burn or ice crystals from forming. When you're ready to enjoy them, simply remove them from the freezer and let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes until they are soft enough to easily remove from the molds.
